Pakistan on Wednesday August 5th marks ‘Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir’ to express solidarity with the people of Kashmir and their struggle against Indian brutalities and atrocities.
August 5th is being observed as Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir all across Pakistan to mark the first anniversary of the abrogation of Article 370 of the Indian constitution and the revocation of special autonomous status of Jammu and Kashmir by the Indian government in 2019 last year.

Mass protests, demonstrations and rallies have been planned across Pakistan and in Azad Kashmir to condemn Indian atrocities in the disputed territory to suppress Kashmiris’ dissent and legitimate struggle for their ‘right of self-determination’ as guaranteed by several United Nations Security Council Resolutions (UNSCR).
President Arif Alvi, along with various other senior government officials Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting – Shibli Faraz and Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani attended a Kashmir solidarity rally in the federal capital to express Pakistan’s continuous, unconditional and undeterred support for the people of Kashmir and their struggle against illegal Indian occupation.
Speaking to media, President Arif Alvi highlighted that India’s inhumane policy in Jammu and Kashmir are similar to Israel’s annexation of Palestine over the years.

The premier urged the international community, media and human rights organizations to play their due role against blatant human rights violations in the disputed valley by Indian forces.
Prior to this PM Imran Khan revealed a new political map of Pakistan which depicts Jammu and Kashmir (both Azad Kashmir and IOK) a part of Pakistan.
What is Article 370?
The Article 370 of the Indian constitution granted special autonomy and status to the disputed region of Jammu and Kashmir. It allowed the state to formulate and implement its own laws regarding permanent residency, ownership of property and fundamental rights.
