Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the storm is likely to hit India’s Gujrat between May 17th and May 18th with wind speeds of around 150-170 km per hour at its epicenter.
Cyclone Tukate is at a distance of 1,000 kilometers from Karachi and poses no threat to any of Pakistan’s coastal areas.

PMD has advised fishermen not to venture into sea till May 19th as sea conditions will remain rough due to the storm.
Meanwhile, Tando Allahyar districts may receive moderate rainfall accompanied with gusty winds of 25-30 km per hour, meanwhile very hot and dry weather with occasional gusty winds likely to continue in Karachi, Hyderabad, Shaeed- Banzirabad, Badin and Thatta districts till tomorrow.
