At least 13 militants linked to the Indian-backed Fitna Al Khawarij terrorist group were killed in two operations by security forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the military said on Wednesday.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), intelligence-based operations were conducted in Bara in Khyber district and Bannu district.
In Bara, forces targeted militant hideouts and, following intense exchanges of fire, killed 10 militants.
A second operation in Bannu resulted in the deaths of three militants.
Clearance operations continue in the area to eliminate remaining threats.
The ISPR said that law enforcement agencies continued their counter terrorism campaign under the “Azm-e-Istehkam” vision to wipe out the menace of foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from the country.
