Elizabeth Alexander, the communications director for the First Lady, issued a statement confirming the positive test, stating that Jill Biden will remain at their residence in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, while she recovers.
The White House also released a statement, explaining, “Following the First Lady’s positive test for COVID-19, President Biden was administered a COVID test this evening. The President tested negative. The President will test at a regular cadence this week and monitor for symptoms.”
As of now, it remains uncertain whether President Biden’s foreign travel plans will be impacted by this development.
