Police have admitted that they have yet to identify any suspect in the murder case of young businessman Mir Raza, submitting an interim challan before a judicial magistrate at the City Court.
The challan includes a total of 53 witnesses, including Mir Raza’s family members, friends and business partners. Police have added sections related to kidnapping, murder and destruction of evidence to the case.
According to the interim challan, investigators reviewed CCTV footage and other digital evidence during the investigation. A USB containing digital material, mobile phone records and statements of different individuals were also made part of the investigation.
Police also obtained details of calls and contacts between different mobile numbers, while statements of several witnesses were recorded. Relevant institutions have been contacted for forensic examination of the available evidence.
