Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Monday (today) visited logistic installation/workshop in Rawalpindi and also held meeting with British High Commissioner Christian Turner at GHQ, reported ISPR.
According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), COAS General Bajwa visited various facilities and infrastructures of the workshop handling vast range of specialized transport items for Army.
Upon arrival, Army Chief was received by Lieutenant General Azhar Saleh Abbasi – Chief of Logistic Staff (CLS). COAS was briefed on matters pertaining to various facilities being set up, upgradation of vehicles and handling of central stores.
COAS General Bajwa praised performance and commitment of the workshop in provision of top class maintenance facilities & services as per standard engineering practices in line with modern / latest standards.
Furthermore, COAS also met with British High Commissioner – Dr Christian Turner at General Headquarters (GHQ). During the meeting the two mulled over matters of mutual interest and overall regional security situation including Afghan Peace Process.
