Educational institutions in Punjab will remain closed till January 10th 2021 on accounts of winter vacations.
Punjab Education Minister Muraad Raas took to social media to announce that educational institutions will remain closed from December 25th till January 10th 2021 on accounts of winter vacations.
During winter vacations, students will not have to take online classes.
In pursuance of decision of National Coordination Committee in its meeting held on 24th November 2020 and in continuation of earlier order of even No. dated 24.11.2020 of this department, winter vacations shall be observed in all public and private schools including academies, taken over Madaris and all autonomous and special education institutions under the administrative control of government of Punjab, School Education Department, read the official notification.
In a statement, Murad Raas hinted that academic year for schools in Punjab might be extended due to coronavirus pandemic and its resulting restrictions.
It is pertinent to know that schools in Pakistan are already closed due to prevailing second wave of COVID-19 coronavirus.
