The controversy surrounding American actor Ezra Miller only thickens — the former Flash star is being accused of accommodating a mother and her three young children (aged one to five) under concerning conditions that involve weaponry and drugs.
Two sources familiar with the situation, who wish to remain anonymous, revealed to Rolling Stone that the environment of the farm is not family friendly. They alleged that there are unattended guns lying around the house on Miller’s 96-acre property. One of them recalled that one of the children — a one-year-old — allegedly picked up a loose bullet and put it in her mouth.
The mother, however, claims that Miller helped her escape a “violent and abusive ex” saying, “[They] helped me finally … have a safe environment for my three very young children.” (Miller is nonbinary and uses they/them pronouns).
“[Ezra’s] home ranch has been a healing haven for us,” she told Rolling Stone. “They may have firearms for self-defence purposes and they are stored in a part of the house that the children never go in… My kids are able to relax more into their healing because of the safety and nurturing Ezra has been providing for them.”
The family has been living at Miller’s Stamford, Vermont, farm since mid-April. The actor met the woman in Hilo, Hawaii in March where Miller’s behaviour caused a line of arrests. In the middle of this situation, the children’s father claims to Rolling Stone that Miller secured a flight out of Hawaii for the woman and her children, allegedly without the father’s knowledge. He claimed he has not been able to see or speak with his children since then.
“I got a bad feeling in my stomach,” the father said. “I do want to go get my kids, they mean the f*****g world to me.” Representatives for Miller did not reply to Rolling Stones’ request for a comment.
According to Hawaii court records, there is a history of a domestic abuse and a paternity case the mother pursued against the father in May 2021 who denied all allegations of abuse. The father also filed a domestic abuse case against the mother in April after she took their children out of state.
The mother told Rolling Stone she is still living at Miller’s farm with her children. The two sources who confirmed seeing children there with their mother described it as a chaotic environment that is unsafe for children. Video footage from April reviewed by the publication appeared to show at least eight assault weapons, rifles, and handguns lying around the living room, some next to a pile of stuffed animals.
