High-value TTP Commander ‘neutralized’ in South Waziristan IBO: ISPR
Security forces ‘neutralized’ a high-value TTP commander in an intelligence based operation (IBO) conducted in South Waziristan.
According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces raided a militant hideout in Sharwangi, Tiarza South Waziristan.
During the firefight, Nooristan alias Hasan Baba – a high-value Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) commander was killed.
The terrorist was an improvised explosive device (IED) expert, trainer and was responsible for more than 50 martyrdoms of security personnel since 2007, said ISPR.
Prior to this, security forces had gunned down TTP terrorist responsible for killing of four women NGO workers in North Waziristan.
Terrorist Hassan alias Sajna from TTP’s Hafiz Gul Bahadur group was killed by security forces during the IBO.
