A Hindi translation of Gard Ka Toofan, a novel by Pakistani writer and journalist Iqbal Khursheed, has been published on the Indian literary website NotNul.
Originally published in 2017, the novel has now been rendered into Hindi by Lucknow-based translator Mohammad Tariq.

Set against the turbulent political backdrop of Karachi, Pakistan, the novel drew appreciation from serious literary circles at the time of its publication. Critics believe the Hindi edition is likely to expand the book’s readership in India.

The story explores themes of friendship, betrayal, violence and social fragmentation. The novel first appeared under the title Tikon Ki Chauthi Jehat and was later shortlisted for the UBL Literary Award. This marks the sixth edition of the book.
