Dr. Muhammad Rehan, Assistant Professor at the Institute of Business Management (IoBM), Karachi, proudly represented Pakistan at the prestigious International Conference on Economics, Finance & Business, organized by the International Institute of Social and Economic Sciences (IISES), held in Rome from August 25–27, 2025.


Dr. Rehan presented his research paper titled:
“Climate Action’s Drivers: A Dynamic Panel Analysis of SDG 13 through Green Finance, Innovation, and Trade Openness.”

The paper delves into the pivotal roles that green finance, technological innovation, and trade openness play in promoting Sustainable Development Goal 13 (SDG 13): Climate Action. His findings underscore the importance of integrated policy efforts to drive sustainable development and strengthen economic resilience in the face of global climate challenges.
Speaking about his experience, Dr. Rehan expressed gratitude for the opportunity to engage with fellow academics and policy experts.
“It was a privilege to share my work on such an important global issue and receive insightful feedback that will further shape my research,” he stated.

He also acknowledged the continuous support and encouragement from IoBM’s leadership, particularly President IoBM, Dean CBM Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kashif, and Head of Department Dr. Salman Sarwat, whose guidance contributed significantly to this academic achievement.

Dr. Rehan, who holds a PhD from Turkey, continues to build a strong research portfolio focusing on sustainability, development economics, and climate-related policy analysis.

His participation highlights IoBM’s commitment to academic excellence and global engagement, reinforcing the institution’s role in addressing contemporary global challenges through research and innovation.
