Prime Minster Imran Khan paid a surprise visit to PIMS hospital Islamabad on Monday (today), and reviewed healthcare services being provided to the patients.
According to the statement issued by Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), PM Imran Khan paid a surprise visit to PIMS hospital in the federal capital and met with patients and healthcare staff.
During the visit, the premier also visited COVID-19 ward and reviewed the facilities being provided to the patients.
The prime minister also inquired about the availability of oxygen and medicines at the facility.

PM Imran Khan was also briefed by Dr Minhaj – Joint Executive Director PIMS, who provided details regarding the various facilities being provided to the patients at the facility.
Furthermore, the prime minister also addressed hospital staff and lauded the efforts of healthcare workers who are on the frontlines in government’s initiatives against prevailing third wave of COVID-19 coronavirus.
The premier also advised hospital staff to ensure self-caution while taking care of the patients. He also inquired doctors if they had received COVID-19 vaccine or not.

The country reported 3,447 new COVID-19 cases and 78 casualties in the last 24 hours.
Pakistan has reported a total of 861,473 COVID-19 cases along with 18,993 deaths so far. A total of 762,105 people have successfully recovered from the novel virus whereas 4,486 are still in critical condition.
Meanwhile, a total of 939,948 people have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with another 1,751,707 have been partially inoculated against the novel virus.
