Security forces foiled an infiltration attempt through the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in North Waziristan District, killing 15 Indian-sponsored khwarij, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Thursday.
According to the military’s media wing, on the night of August 31-September 1, 2026, the movement of a group of khwarij belonging to Indian-sponsored Fitna Al Khwarij, who were trying to infiltrate through the Pakistan-Afghanistan border opposite North Waziristan District, was detected by security forces.
The troops responded professionally and with patience to engage them successfully. As a result of precise and skillful engagement that lasted for 36 hours, fifteen khwarij belonging to Indian-sponsored Fitna Al Khwarij were killed.
During the follow-up sanitization operation, a significant quantity of weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the killed khwarij, which has further exposed the nefarious designs of Khwarij and their facilitators, seeking to disrupt peace and stability in the country, the ISPR said.
