Punjab government on Wednesday, announced its decision to extend bail of Shehbaz Sharif and son Hamza Shahbaz for one day.
Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan – special assistant to CM Punjab for Information took to social media to announce Punjab government’s decision regarding bail extension of Shehbaz Sharif and Hamza Shahabaz.
Punjab government, on the directions of Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has extended parole of Shehbaz Sharif and Hamza Shahbaz by 24 hours, she tweeted.
The decision to extend PML-N leaders’ bail was made in a meeting presided by CM Punjab Buzdar regarding PML-N’s request seeking bail extension.
PML-N had filed an application urging Punjab Home Department to extend Shehbaz, Hamza’s bail.
Both PML-N leaders were released from Kot Lakhpat jail on Friday on a five-day parole given for them to be able to attend funeral proceedings of Begum Shamim Akhtar – Shehbaz Sharif’s mother.
Shehbaz Sharif and Nawaz Sharif’s mother Begum Shamim Akhtar had passed away on November 22nd Sunday. She was 89 years old.
Her funeral prayers were offered on November 28th Saturday last week, followed by her burial at Sharif family’s ancestral graveyard.
