Sindh government on Friday, announced public holiday on the occasion of Eid Milad un Nabi, 12th Rabi ul Awal on October 30th.
“The government of Sindh declares 12th Rabi ul Awal 1,442 (A.H), Friday 30th October,2020 as public holiday on the occasion of Eid Milad un Nabi (S.A.W.W), throughout the province of Sindh,” read the notification issued by Services, General Administration and Coordination Department Government on Sindh.
Eid Milad-un-Nabi is the observance of the birthday of Islamic prophet Muhammad which is commemorated on 12th Rabiul Awwal, the third month in the Islamic calendar.
Eid Milad-un-Nabi also known as ‘Mawlid’ is recognized as a national holiday in most of the Muslim-majority countries of the world.
