Federal government has ordered television channels to hold live transmission without an audience in Ramazan.
The order directed channels to invite no more than one and telecast Naats and quiz show segments through video links as per social distancing guidelines.

A ban on live game shows has also been imposed. Sehri and Aftari special transmission will also be held strictly according to social distancing guidelines. All such programs and transmission segments that previously had crowds gathered inside the studios would be strictly banned.
Any channel found to be violating the COVID-19 SOPs would be taken to task and fined.
The order has been issued in order to mitigate the risks of the spread of the deadly virus during the holy month of Ramazan.
The national tally of coronavirus stands at 7261 cases with 137 deaths to date.
