The Met Office has issued a weather alert about rainfall in south-eastern Sindh from the night of 29th September to 02nd October under the influence of a low-pressure weather system.
A low-pressure system is currently developing in the Arabian Sea, expected to intensify into a depression, bringing heavy rainfall and strong winds to coastal regions.
The low-pressure weather system lies over Indian Gujarat state is likely to move west-north-westward.
This system is anticipated to intensify into a depression within next 36 hours, with predictions indicating a northward movement towards the coast.
Moist currents from northeastern Arabian Sea are penetrating southeastern parts of Sindh.
Under the influence of these meteorological conditions’ rainfall is expected in Thar Parker (Mithi, Islamkot, Nagarparkar, Chachro, Dhali, Diplo, Kaloi), Umar Kot, Mirpur Khas, Sanghar, Khairpur, Matiari, Tando Allahyar, Tando Muhammad Khan, Hyderabad, Jamshoro, Karachi, Thatta, Badin and Sujawal districts up to September 02nd October.
