In a video shared by the show’s host channel on social media, contestants were seen performing songs featuring Dharmendra as a tribute. Judge and singer-rapper Badshah was also moved to tears as the show celebrated Dharmendra’s legacy. Remembering the late actor, Badshah said, “Dharam paaji was the true essence of Punjab. It now feels as if that beautiful fragrance has faded from our soil. He was everyone’s ideal idol.” He added, “Dharam ji, wherever you are, be happy, hopeful, and at peace.” Badshah ended his tribute by reciting one of Dharmendra’s well-known shayaris: “Sab kuch paakar bhi, haasil-e-zindagi kuch bhi nahi, Kambakkht jaan kyun jaati hai jaate hue.”
Dharmendra’s passing on November 24 sent shockwaves across the nation, especially within the film industry. On November 25, several prominent personalities visited the Deol residence to offer condolences. Jeetendra, who shared nearly five decades of friendship with Dharmendra, was seen arriving in the evening to support the grieving family. The veteran actor, now in his late 80s, slowly made his way into the residence to pay his respects.
Jeetendra and Dharmendra worked together in several memorable films, including The Burning Train, Dharam Veer, Dharma Karma, and Kinara, among others.
