Azeri ambassador expresses gratitude for Pakistan’s support in Nagorno-Karabakh conflict

Ali Alizada – Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Pakistan, expressed gratitude for Pakistan’s support in Nagorno-Karabakh conflict against Armenia.

Azeri Ambassador to Pakistan, Ali Alizada called on General Nadeem Raza, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) at Joint Staff Headquarters Rawalpindi on Friday.

According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) matters of bilateral interest and regional security were discussed during the meeting.

Furthermore, Chairman JCSC reaffirmed the brotherly relationship between both the countries built on strong foundations. CJCSC also said that Pakistan Armed Forces fully support Azerbaijan’s position on Nagorno-Karabakh, which is in line with the several unanimously adopted United Nations Security Council resolutions.

Prior to this, Azeri envoy while addressing a press-briefing on Nagorno-Karabakh conflict with Armenian forces, said that Armenia is violating UN Security Council resolutions (UNSCR) by illegally occupying the Nagorno-Karabakh region.

Mr Ambassador expressed gratitude and lauded Pakistan and Turkey for their principle support on Nagorno-Karabakh issue.
