Pakistan Super League’s sixth edition (PSL 6) is all set to resume from today in Abu Dhabi after a gap of more than two months.

HBL PSL has once again returned to UAE where it first began its journey in 2016 as Lahore Qalandars and Islamabad United are set to go head to head on Wednesday (today) in Abu Dhabi following PCB’s decision to hold remaining PSL matches in UAE in light of COVID-19 pandemic.

PSL 6 Postponement And UAE Leg

A total of 14 PSL 6 matches were held in Pakistan after the tournament was postponed in March 2021 earlier this year after several players, officials tested positive for COVID-19.

PCB further faced issues to resume the postponed cricket tournament after UAE placed Pakistan, Sri Lanka, India and South Africa on its COVID-19 ‘red list’.

However, due to significant decrease in COVID-19 cases and following inoculation of players, officials and other staff, PCB struck a deal with UAE government to resume PSL 6 and hold remaining 20 matches in the gulf country.

According to PCB, the PSL 6 matches will start at 17:00 UAE time (1800 PKT time) and 22:00 UAE time (2300 PKT time), respectively, while the single-headers will begin at 20:00 UAE time (21:00 PKT time) respectively; toss to take place half an hour before start.
