Rehman Malik urges Govt to highlight Indian brutalities in ICJ, ICC

Global Peace Islamabad Think Tank, Wonder World, and PICCS has organised a seminar titled “Innocent Killings around the World and Mysterious Silence of World Community; What Ought to be Done” at National Library of Pakistan.

Prominent International and National speakers participated in the seminar including Mr. Khadim Hussain, Former Lord and Mayor Bradford UK, Mr. John Grogan and member of the parliament of England, Mr. Nasim Malik.

Chief Guest of the ceremony was former Interior Minister and current Senator Rehman Malik of Pakistan People’s Party while Nawab Jahangir Khanji, Nawab of Junagadh was the guest of honour.

Participants highlighted the miseries faced by Muslims with special emphasis on the atrocities Innocent Kashmiris were being subjected to under illegal occupation of India along with Palestine’s illegal occupation by Israel.

Rehman Malik said that today is 415th Day of brutal curfew in Kashmir and people have been deprived of the basic amenities of life and been caged in their own homes without basic necessities including food and medicine. He said that infants are dying without food and even pregnant women are not allowed to hospitals.

He expressed that Indian forces are committing unprecedented brutalities against the innocent Kashmiris in terms of mass murders, mass blinding, enforced disappearances, torture, rape, political repression and suppression of freedom of speech.

He said that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had increased the number of troops in Indian Occupied Kashmir to the level of 700,000 plus to kill and torture the innocent people there.

He urged the government to file a lawsuit in International Court of Justice (ICJ) and International Criminal Court (ICC) against Narendra Modi as he must be convicted for his crimes against humanity. “If a small country like Gambia can stand for Rohingyan Muslims why can’t Pakistan go for their own oppressed Kashmiris in ICJ and ICC,” he said.

He urged the OIC to raise its voice for oppressed people of Kashmir and Palestine. He said that our hearts equally beat for the people Palestine and we stand by them firmly.

Nawab of Junagadh highlighted the self-serving attitude of Indian government and aggression done by Indian Forces in Junagadh and in Indian Occupied Kashmir.

Major Muhammad Tariq(retd) another participant at the seminar took to Twitter saying: “Junagarh issue has been remained one of the major concerns of Pakistan but Ironically all previous govts have been putting it at back burners.” Present govt has raised this issue and has given priority and included in pak map Today ,a seminar was hosted.”

Participants boldly condemned the silence of world community and passed a joint declaration on these brutal acts and urged United Nations to ensure that its resolutions are implemented in true letter and spirit in occupied and besieged lands.
