A police constable in Karachi has been suspended after stopping a rickshaw carrying women and asking one of the passengers to be friends.
The incident came to light after a video showing the officer approaching the rickshaw and making the offer was widely shared online. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) East, Zubair Nazeer Sheikh, took notice of the incident after it was reported by media and ordered the immediate suspension of the officer, identified as Imran.
