With their albums Folklore and Evermore, Taylor Swift and Aaron Dessner restored magic to the lives of music lovers during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The 36-year-old pop sensation worked online and on the record alongside Jack Antonoff, Justin Vernon, and The National.
The Pink Rabbits hitmaker recounted the album’s production process, saying, “I mean, it was a text, first of all. It was March or April of 2020. We had met Taylor, and I think she was really a fan of the band [The National]. And when COVID hit, she reached out and said like, ‘Hey, it’s Taylor. Would you ever consider collaborating remotely?’ She simply stated, ‘Send me anything.’”
