Electricity prices may increase by Rs1.73 per unit under the monthly fuel adjustment for August.
The Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA) has filed an application seeking an increase of Rs1.73 per unit in electricity prices.
The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) will hear the CPPA’s request on September 29.
If approved, the proposed increase will place an additional burden of Rs29.5 billion on electricity consumers.
The proposed adjustment will also apply to K-Electric consumers.
