Hazrat Abdullah Shah Ghazi’s annual urs festivities have begun as Sindh government lifts lockdown restrictions in Sindh.
Sindh Minister for Irrigation, Zakat & Ushr, Auqaf – Sohail Anwar Siyal inaugurated the three-day annual 1,290th urs celebrations of Sufi saint Hazrat Abdullah Shah Ghazi on Monday.
The urs celebrations were kicked off by provincial minister bathing the grave/tomb, who then offered fateha and laid down wreaths and ‘chadar’ on the shrine.
Large number of devotees are expected to attend the three-day urs celebrations as shrines all across the province have been closed since March due to COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.
The development comes as earlier Sohail Anwar Siyal on July 29, announced to o reopen shrines after Eid-ul-Azha.
While speaking in Sehwan – Jamshoro, he had said that shrines all across Sindh including that of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar will be reopened for public with strict standard operating procedures (SOPs) to avoid coronavirus spread.
