Rashid Khan – President and CEO of Pakistan Telecommunications Authority (PTCL), Ufone passed away on Thursday (today).
As per details, Rashid Khan was undergoing medical treatment in a private hospital in Islamabad and passed away on Thursday morning.
“With immense sorrow we must announce that Rashid Khan, President and CEO, PTCL & Ufone, has passed away this morning. His vision and extraordinary leadership positioned him as one of the pioneers of Pakistan’s telecom industry,” read the statement issued by PTCL.
Rashid Khan was a veteran of the telecommunications field at both International and national level, and was serving as President, CEO of PTCL and Ufone.
He had previously served as CEO and President of Jazz (previously Mobilink) telecommunications company between 2008 and 2014.
During his 15-year long career in Silicon Valley, he was associated with very companies and had served at various positions.
