Kenyan Chief of Defence Forces, CNS Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi agree to strengthen bilateral security cooperation
Chief of Naval Staff (CNS) Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi on Wednesday (today) met with General Robert Kariuki Kibochi at Naval Headquarters, Islamabad.
According to DGPR Pakistan Navy, upon arrival at Naval Headquarters the Kenyan Chief of Defence Forces – General Robert Kariuki Kibochi was received by CNS Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi. The visiting dignitary was presented with Guard of Honor by smartly turned out contingent of Pakistan Navy.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed various matters of maritime security, stability and mutual interest including bilateral collaboration.
Naval Chief accentuated Pakistan’s commitment in fight against terrorism and underscored Pakistan Navy’s contributions for ensuring maritime security and peace in the region.
CNS Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi also expressed gratitude to the visiting dignitary for the hospitality afforded to Pakistan Navy Ship NASR on its recent goodwill visit to Mombasa.
Both sides agreed on further enhancing mutual interactions in diversified military domains.
Prior to this, the visiting dignitary met with Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) – General Nadeem Raza at Joint Staff Headquarters on Tuesday a day earlier.
Visit of Chief of Defence Forces Kenya shall further promote the existing bilateral cooperation between the two countries in general and the navies in particular, said ISPR.
