Karachi: Saeed Ghani , Provincial Minister for Local Government and Public Health Engineering, has tested positive for coronavirus.
In a video message issued on social media, Saeed Ghani has announced that he has been tested positive for novel coronavirus.
“Previous day, I had undergone a few medical tests. To my surprise I have tested positive for coronavirus. Although I have no underlying symptoms associated with COVID-19 such as cough, fever and nasal congestion,” he said.
Provincial minister has said that he is practicing self-isolation and has advised his friends, colleagues and individuals who have interacted with him in recent days, to do the same and get tested in case they register any symptoms of the novel disease.
Saeed Ghani has been at the forefront of Sindh government’s effort to contain the COVID-19 outbreak in the province. He has visited Sukkur quarantine area and has been interacting with health workers on a daily basis. The provincial minster has announced that he will be exercising his authority and fulfilling his duty to the office from home.
