Schools likely to be reopened from September 15th, reaffirms Shafqat Mahmood

Shafqat Mahmood – Federal Minister for Education on Friday, reaffirmed that schools are likely to reopen from September 15th.

Shafqat Mahmood took to social media to rebuke false allegations regarding the extension of shutdown of educational institutions.

“Some fake accounts in my name are spreading false news that schools will remain closed till October. Not true,” he tweeted.

The minister added that provincial education ministers is scheduled on September 7th to  finalize the decision to reopen educational institutions across country from September 15th.

The development comes as false news and rumors have been circulating on various social media platforms claiming that educational institutions will not be reopened from September 15th as announced by the government.

It is to be noted that schools across the country have been closed from March 7 to protect students in wake of the coronavirus outbreak.

Meanwhile government’s Tele-school initiative which has reported;y benefited around eight million students across the country.
