Turkish Airlines has announced to resume its flight operation to and from Pakistan from July 2.
According to Turkish ambassador to Pakistan Mustafa Yurdakul, Turkish Airlines will resume its flight operations to Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad airports.
Initially, the flight operations will be limited to four flights per week, i.e. on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
The development comes as Pakistan government, on Sunday, ‘partially’ reopened its airspace for international flight operations as part of the lifting of coronavirus restrictions in the country.
The decision has been made to ‘to help our Overseas workers who have suffered most in this pandemic’ said Prime Minister Imran Khan on Saturday.
It is to be noted that countries around the world, including Pakistan had temporarily suspended both domestic and international flight operations as part of the coronavirus travel restrictions aimed at curbing the virus spread.
